Right now I am in Texas shooting a documentary film for AahShaw Records on our band, Prehab...here is a little blurb from the AahShaw blog about the doc...

In early 2003 Chris looked out his office window and was shocked by what he saw. Cantu, his old friend and band mate was sitting in a white truck blaring music loud enough to raise the dead. As he approached the truck the music became louder and more recognizable. “Chriiiiiiiis Kay !!“, Shouted Cantu, as a demo of the song “I’m Free” one of the songs they recorded as the Bedspins, rocked the suburban parking lot. “Dude! We have GOT to get the other guys back together and play again!” Said Cantu. “ Why the hell did we ever break up?!”
Chris thought about the question. Visions of practicing in a cramped 10x10 room, writing songs, playing hundreds of shows, logging thousands of miles in late 70’s van, manager and producer rip offs danced through his head. Like a moth drawn to a flame he knows will likely end in heartbreak he said “Maybe we should get together and play a few songs.”
A full reunion was not to be. The truth was that the four band members were not all in a good place. Various addiction and excess issues were being battled, and other than a one off practice that was mediocre at best, the idea was a bust. A few years went by with very little contact then in 2006 everything changed.
Brent Steffey, a fellow musician and neighbor to Chris and Jason Kay died suddenly at age 36 of a brain hemorrhage. The funeral was the first time in years all four band members were in the same place at the same time. The memorial reception after the tragic day was filled with a sea of emotion and alcohol. As the group reflected on their past and their own mortality, they agreed to reform.
“Prehab” follows the band members and their journey from forming in the early 90’s, to recording what could be their last record in 2015. It’s the story of a group of guys that never gave up on the dream. A group that wanted one last shot at redemption. One last chance to leave a lasting mark.
Principal shooting began in September 2014 with a release date of 2015.
