This is a quote from Neale Donald Walsch that I feel can have such a positive impact on life. Neale Donald Walsch is a man who has an in-depth understanding of how and why we allow fear to keep us from accomplishing our goals and purpose. So many of us have that feeling of "this is too scary" when we are faced with something that either was not planned, or something that is just a tad bit outside of our comfort zone. We dismiss the discomfort as a feeling that we should simply avoid- but in reality, we should move towards that discomfort in order to allow true transformation to happen.
'The End of your Comfort Zone' has such an amazingly different meaning for every individual. Being afriad of heights keeps your comfort zone safe on the ground- but once the lightbulb burns out, you can't live in darkness forever...you must surpass that fear and get on that high ladder. With so many easy options in today's world, we are faced with less and less fears, causing the majority of the population to live safely in the walls of our comfort zone.
TV, Movies, Social Media, and the internet as a whole, let us feel like we are going on adventures and testing our limits without ever having to leave the comfort of home. Instead of going to dive with sharks, we watch shows and follow on social media the few brave souls who actually are out in the water...getting our safe 'fix' for that adventure, with our toes never even touching the ocean.
Taking Walsch' quote as inspiration, what is something that you need to do in order to face your fears? What is it that, by leaving your comfort zone, will open your life to more adventure, more abundance, and more meaning? These words can be used in so many areas of life, leaving the comfort zone of an unhealthy relationship, the comfort of your hometown, or the comfort of the job you hate but have been in for years because of the 'benefits'. We all have our comfort zone, but it is time to transform the fear into love of the unknown.
